Give
Generosity is how we keep the block alive.
Why We Give
At The Gathering, generosity isn't a transaction — it's a posture. It's how we say we believe in something bigger than ourselves, something worth investing in. As Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 9:7, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." That's the spirit we bring to everything we do here on Myrtle Avenue.
Every dollar given to The Gathering goes to work in Brooklyn — funding worship that crosses cultures, preaching that doesn't flinch, and a community that holds space for every language, every background, every story. Since Deon planted this church in 2017, the vision has always been to be a church for the block, from the block. Your generosity makes that real, week after week.
Stewardship isn't just about money — it's about trust. We take that seriously. When you give to The Gathering, you're partnering with a mission that shows up in the neighborhood, in the House Churches, at the First Table, and in the lives of real people who found a seat here when they needed one most.
Three Simple Ways to Give
Give Online
The easiest way to support The Gathering is right here, online. Head to our giving page and make a contribution that goes directly toward the mission. Whether it's your first time or you give regularly, every gift moves the work forward.
Give on Sunday
Offering baskets are passed during every worship service at The Gathering — both the 11 AM and 6 PM gatherings on Sundays. Giving envelopes are available at the Welcome Center, and our ushers are always happy to help if you have questions.
Give by Mail
You can mail a check made payable to The Neighborhood Gathering to our address: 245 Myrtle Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11205. A receipt will be sent to you for tax purposes — we've got you covered.
Your Generosity Fuels the Block
The Gathering exists because people believed in something worth giving to. Join them.
